Work Closer to Home
Home Workforce presents a smarter way to search for jobs.
What is it?
Quite simply, we offer a more effective way of searching for work in your local area.
Why have we done it?
For a number of reasons.
Working locally is a great way to avoid the frustration, pollution and expense of a long commute.
Working locally can put you in touch with your local community, allowing you to support local businesses while they support you.
Best of all, working near home allows you to reclaim peak hour.
Imagine spending extra time having breakfast with the family, instead of sitting in a traffic jam.
How about playing sport or reading a book with your kids after school instead of standing for an hour in a crowded train carriage?
How much fitter and happier would we be if we could walk or cycle to work instead of driving?
There are many reasons why it makes sense for us all to try to work closer to home.
How did we do it?
Well, the boring technical explanation is that we've geo-coded every post code and every Australian town and suburb we could think of - from A (Aarons Pass) to Z (Zorba) - and everything in between.
Every time a job is listed (except for work from home jobs), the employer enters the post code or suburb where the job is located.
When you search for a job, you also enter the post code or suburb where you want to work. Our system quickly searches all available jobs, calculates their distance relative to you, and gives you the details of everything within a reasonable distance.
The important thing is, you can choose exactly where you want to look for work.
Now, that's a bit better than searching through huge areas like 'Greater Sydney' or 'Regional WA' with some of those other job sites, right? We sure think so.
